Christian Lacroix unveiled his first Haute Couture collection for the Fall-Winter 1987 - his exubrant, vibrant designs, were a contrast to the minimimalist tastes of the time. The brand is known for exuberance, using bold, bright colours and materials and Lacriox's silhouettes elegantly displayed with sophistication elements of folklore and baroque, with a historical and theatrical essense.
